About

Hi! I am Tracy T. Bloom, LMT of Bloom Massage and Fitness.

In 1998, at age forty, I began a program of diet and exercise, lost 60 lbs, and entered the fittest phase of my life!

In 2001 I began massage school (1200 hour program), and in 2002 became licensed to practice therapeutic massage in New York and Connecticut.  I also specialize in working with pregnant women (‘Mother Massage’) and athletes.

In 2002, after training with a powerlifter for four years, I became ACE certified to train fitness, and began competing in triathlons and teaching fitness.

In 2004 I took the Stott Pilates mat instructor program, and in 2010 completed the dynamic Authentic Pilates comprehensive  700+  hour apparatus certification, specifically to teach others and share the many benefits of Pilates.

I currently lift with Team Connecticut Olympic Weightlifting Club (National Champion Masters Weightlifter, 2008!) teach fitness and Pilates in several venues, and have developed the WalkBuddy program to share my success and help others get in shape.

I  am a member of the AMTA. I have assisted teaching anatomy classes at the Connecticut Center of Massage Therapy. My massage and fitness education has been extensive, and as a therapist I enjoy a reputation for having a strong, nurturing touch.

I train and practice, and will continue to write, study, and work, sharing the many benefits of exercise, Pilates, and massage!
